Every time Marwan started somewhere new, the understanding reset to zero.
Mo's brother Marwan is autistic and non-speaking. Their parents spent years learning what every gesture and sound meant, and none of it transferred. For each new program Mo sat with staff for two weeks, passing years of context across one conversation at a time. It still came apart the moment someone new started, and the staff were left guessing.
