How DEEN Support Services cut daily documentation by more than an hour, and shaped MORO while they were doing it.
An hour back, every day, for every staff member on shift. Measured across a four week pilot that closed in June 2026.
Support workers knew exactly what had happened on a shift. The problem was when it got recorded: at the end of the day, from memory, in a stack of paper and separate systems. An hour and a half of a support worker's shift went into writing up a day they had already worked.
The cost is not only the time. Detail written from memory five hours later is thinner than detail captured in the moment, and the person who has it is the person who was there. When they finish their rotation, it leaves with them.
DEEN Support Services is a charity supporting people with disabilities across Mississauga, Scarborough and Ottawa. They joined MORO as a pilot organization in 2026 and continue as a design partner.
Staff, participants and families were onboarded onto the same platform at the same time, rather than rolling out to staff first and hoping families followed.
"It saves us more than an hour a day. It took our logging from an hour and a half down to 30 minutes."

MORO's design principle is that the people doing the work decide what it becomes. At DEEN that was not a sentiment, it was a changelog.
Nine things in MORO exist because a support worker at DEEN said the product was getting in the way, and it changed during the pilot rather than after it.
Smaller changes across the same four weeks. Most of them are invisible now, which is the point.
DEEN's pilot closed in June 2026 and they continue as a design partner. MORO is now in use at four care organizations across the GTA, and the pattern from DEEN holds: onboard staff and families together, log in the moment, and let the daily summary build itself.
Start with a single team. Your price is agreed in writing before day one, the decision date goes on the calendar, and if it does not save your team time you walk away.
