Terms Of Use

Version 2.0•Last Updated: September 21, 2026

Welcome

These Terms of Use explain what you can expect from MORO, made by Moro Technologies Inc., and what we expect from you. By creating an account or using MORO, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use MORO.

1. Who Can Use MORO

  • You must be at least 18 years old to create an account.
  • MORO is often used to support children and adults who cannot manage an account themselves. Their information is added by a parent, legal guardian, substitute decision maker, or care organization with the proper authority, as described in our Privacy Policy.

2. What MORO Is

MORO helps families, caregivers, and care teams capture, organize, and share what they know about the people they support: routines, communication cues, preferences, and daily notes.

MORO is not a medical device. It does not give medical advice, diagnosis, or clinical instructions, and it does not replace your organization's clinical or health record system.

3. No Emergency Services

MORO is not built for emergencies. It cannot contact emergency responders or provide real time crisis support. If someone is at risk, call 911 or your local emergency number right away.

4. Your Account

  • Keep your login details secure and do not share them.
  • Tell us right away at info@moroapp.ca if you think someone has accessed your account without permission.
  • You are responsible for what happens in your account.

5. Families

  • MORO is free for families. There are no paid family plans and no hidden fees.
  • The profile you create belongs to your family. You decide who can view it or add to it, and you can remove access at any time.
  • If your loved one attends a care program that uses MORO, you choose whether to connect your profile to that program.

6. Care Organizations

When an organization uses MORO for its staff and the people in its care:

  • Pilot. New organizations can start with a free 4 week pilot. The price and plan are agreed in writing before the pilot starts. There is no obligation to continue.
  • After the pilot. If you do not continue, we delete your organization's records at the end of the pilot, unless you ask us in writing to keep them. If you do continue, you pay the price agreed in writing, monthly or annually.
  • Your team. You are responsible for who you invite, the access you give them, and making sure you have the consent or authority to record information about the people in your care.
  • Your records. Your organization's records belong to your organization. A family's own profile belongs to the family.

7. Your Content

  • You own everything you add to MORO: notes, photos, videos, documents, and other information.
  • You give Moro Technologies Inc. permission to store, process, and display that content only to provide MORO to you and the people you share it with.
  • Only add content you have the right to share. Keep entries focused on daily care and understanding rather than detailed medical records.

8. Sharing and Permissions

The person who manages a profile decides who joins its care circle and what each person can see. When you invite someone, they can see information based on the access you choose. You can change or remove access at any time.

9. Using MORO Appropriately

Please do not:

  • Upload content that is abusive, discriminatory, or unlawful
  • Try to access information you are not authorized to see
  • Interfere with how MORO works
  • Pretend to be someone else, or misrepresent your relationship to the person you support

We may suspend or close accounts that break these rules.

10. Privacy and Security

Your privacy matters to us. MORO app data is stored in Canada and encrypted in transit and at rest. Our Privacy Policy explains exactly what we collect and how we protect it.

11. Changes to MORO and to These Terms

We improve MORO regularly, which means features may change. If we make a significant change to these Terms, we will tell you by email or in the app before it takes effect. If you keep using MORO after that, the updated Terms apply.

12. Deleting Your Account

You can delete your account at any time in the app, or by emailing info@moroapp.ca. What happens to your data is explained in our Privacy Policy.

13. Limitation of Liability

We work hard to keep MORO reliable and secure, but we provide it as is and as available, and we cannot promise it will always be uninterrupted or error free.

To the fullest extent allowed by law, Moro Technologies Inc. is not responsible for losses that result from using MORO or from relying on information that users enter. Nothing in these Terms limits rights you have under consumer protection laws that cannot be waived, including in Quebec.

14. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada that apply there. If you live in Quebec, the laws of Quebec also apply to the extent required.

15. Language

These Terms are available in English and French. Both versions have the same value.
